Data and AI Governance Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Data and AI Governance Specialist to help federal clients establish trusted, compliant, and practical governance practices for data and artificial intelligence initiatives. This role is responsible for developing governance frameworks, policies, controls, documentation, and operating models that support responsible data use, model transparency, privacy, security, and mission outcomes. Work schedule based on Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Education (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or master's degree with 5+ years of experience in data governance, information management, analytics, risk management, privacy, compliance, or related federal consulting work. 

Security Clearance and Eligibility (Required)

  • Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a CMS Public Trust clearance after onboarding.
  • Contract requires candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, or control documentation. 
  • Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality, metadata, stewardship, access management, and compliance concepts. 
  • Experience supporting federal government clients or highly regulated environments. 
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to turn complex governance concepts into usable guidance. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, NIST AI RMF, or related AI risk frameworks.
  • Familiarity with federal data strategy, privacy, security, records management, or data sharing requirements. 
  • Experience with data catalog, governance, or metadata tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar platforms. 
  • Ability to facilitate decision-making across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups. 
  • Experience in healthcare, CMS, financial management, claims, program integrity, or public sector data environments.

Project Manager (CMS experience preferred)

We are looking for a practical and organized Project Manager with strong CMS experience to lead delivery for federal health technology initiatives. The Project Manager is responsible for managing cope, schedule, risks, client communications, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery. This role works closely with technical, data, product, and client stakeholders to keep projects moving, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment with CMS priorities and contractual requirements. 

Education (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience managing federal technology, healthcare, or professional services projects.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Direct experience supporting CMS programs, CMS contractors, or federal health agencies. 
  • Experience managing complex IT, data, analytics, cloud, modernization, or system implementation projects. 
  • Strong understanding of project management practices, risk management, stakeholder communication, and deliverable tracking. 
  • Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery environments. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or related project management certification. 
  • Experience with CMS governance, quality reporting, financial systems, claims, program integrity, or healthcare data environments. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, or similar platforms. 
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to translate technical details into clear business updates.

Data Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Data Analyst to join our team supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As a Data Analyst, you will support data analysis and reporting for RA Reconciliation, and Reporting/Modeling efforts for RA Recon. Ongoing engagement with client but largely in maintenance status, with some small enhancement work. Leads analysis and directly interfaces with client regarding the analysis of CMS financial data. Work schedule based on Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Education (Required)

Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of relevant experience

Master’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance and Eligibility (Required)

  • Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a CMS Public Trust clearance after onboarding.
  • Contract requires candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with direct customer interface experience.
  • Ability to lead and drive conversations regarding data analysis results with multiple stakeholders across different agencies/teams.
  • Ability to translate complex logic and results into terminology that is understandable to business users.
  • Experience performing data analysis on complex financial records from multiple data sources that have not been normalized.
  • Strong, demonstrated experience using Python to build reports and perform data analysis in scenarios where data sources are not normalized. (R is not currently an option).
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including macros and formulas.
  • Working knowledge of shell languages such as shell or PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard authorization frameworks, including OAuth and SAML, with experience integrating these frameworks in a Data Engineering context.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with visualization technologies such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience building data pipelines using technologies such as AWS Glue or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with SaaS analysis frameworks such as Snowflake.
  • Experience working with Salesforce for data extraction.
  • Experience with data modeling and data governance tools and technologies.

Solutions Architect
